Terms of Service

Last updated 24 August 2026

These terms govern your use of Unhinged, a Discord bot and a web admin panel for Albion Online guild management. By adding the bot to a Discord server, or by signing in to the admin panel, you accept these terms.

1. Who we are

Unhinged is operated by Montague Monro, a sole trader in the United Kingdom, trading as "Unhinged". We give our postal address on request.

Email us at support@unhingedbot.com, or contact us in our Discord support server.

We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Sandbox Interactive GmbH. Albion Online is a trademark of Sandbox Interactive GmbH.

2. What the service is

Unhinged records guild bookkeeping. It tracks loot splits, regear requests, member balances, events and call-to-arms attendance. It reads public data from the Albion Online API and killboard to verify some of that work.

The service depends on Discord and on Albion Online, and neither is under our control. A change to either one may change or remove a feature.

3. Eligibility

You need a Discord account to use Unhinged. Discord's own terms of service and its minimum age requirement apply to you. To subscribe on behalf of a Discord server, you need the Manage Server permission in that server.

4. Subscriptions and payment

We sell one subscription per Discord server, not per person. Every paid plan carries every feature. The only thing that changes with price is how many members the server may register:

  • Free: up to 10 members, $0
  • Small: up to 30 members, $5 per month
  • Medium: up to 100 members, $10 per month
  • Large: up to 200 members, $18 per month
  • Unlimited: no member limit, $25 per month

Prices are in US dollars and include any tax that applies to you. Stripe takes the payment and holds the card details. We never see or store your card number. Your subscription renews each month until you cancel it.

If a server has more registered members than its plan allows, further registrations are blocked until the server either removes members or moves to a larger plan.

5. Changing plan

Change plan in the admin panel. This is the only place a plan changes, on purpose: the panel checks the server's member count first, so a server cannot move to a plan smaller than its roster.

An upgrade takes effect at once, and we invoice the prorated difference immediately. A downgrade takes effect at once and settles as a credit against your next invoice, not as a refund.

6. Cancellation

Cancel at any time from the billing page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for. You keep every paid feature until then, and the server drops to the free plan afterwards.

7. Refunds

We do not refund part of a month. Cancelling stops the next renewal; it does not return the current month.

If you are a consumer in the United Kingdom or the European Union, you normally have 14 days to cancel a distance contract. Because we supply the service immediately when you subscribe, you ask us to begin supply within that period and you accept that you lose the right to cancel once supply has begun. This does not affect your other statutory rights.

8. Balances have no cash value

Member balances, loot-split records and transfers inside Unhinged are a bookkeeping record of what a guild has agreed among itself. They are not money and they are not in-game currency.

We do not sell, buy, hold or transfer in-game silver or any other in-game item. We cannot recover a balance that an officer changes or clears, and we take no part in a dispute between a guild and its members about one.

9. The free plan

We provide the free plan as it is. We may change what it includes, or how many members it allows, at any time.

10. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • work around the member limit on your plan, including by running several servers to split one roster;
  • automate, script or load-test the bot or the admin panel beyond normal use;
  • use the service to harass anyone, or to store unlawful content in member notes or transfer reasons;
  • attempt to reach another server's data, or to read data your Discord permissions do not grant you.

11. Availability

We do not promise the service will be available at any given time. We run no service-level agreement, and we may take the service down for maintenance without notice.

12. No warranty, and our liability

We provide the service "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we give no warranty of any kind, and we exclude every implied term about quality or fitness for a purpose.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost in-game assets, lost silver, a guild dispute, an inaccurate balance, or any indirect or consequential loss. Where we are liable, our total liability is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $25.

Nothing here excludes liability we cannot exclude by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.

13. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, if we must do so by law, or if your use threatens the service for other guilds. You may stop using the service at any time by removing the bot from your Discord server. Removing the bot does not cancel a subscription. Cancel that on the billing page.

14. Changes to these terms

We may change these terms. We will change the date at the top of this page when we do. If a change materially reduces what you get, we will give notice in the support server before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the United Kingdom or in the European Union, you keep the right to bring a claim in your own country's courts.

16. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what personal data we hold, why we hold it, and how long we keep it. It forms part of these terms.
